Dear Patricia,

I was looking at your website, which mentions Cader Powell and his son Theophilus. I am researching the genealogy of a woman who is descended through Cader's son Jacob. She wishes to join DAR and I am trying to link her with Cader Powell and his wife Frances Foote, whose father and grandfather are both established as DAR patriots.

On your website, on the page http://www.bourlandcivilwar.com/PowellFooteWilliams.htm, you have references to a letter that mentions
"our brothers in Ohio" and "a KY store account" that mentions both Cader and Jacob Powell. Can you give me any additional information about these sources? Jacob Powell married Mary Susan Vermillion and moved to Lawrence Co, OH. His brother also married a Vermillion and lived in the same county.

If you do not have these sources, do you know who does?   ... Thank you very much.  G.  Maresco
