Hedgecox, Oliver Hedgecox, b-1825 IA, 1860 Coll cen p22, $9,000-$4,000.. He had 9 slaves in trust for minor heir James Herndon plus 5 slaves for himself, total 14 slaves. . If he had enlisted before spring of 62 he would have most likely been discharged as over-age by terms of the April Conscription Act.  Alexander's 34th Cav, Co G.
